UIC now invites candidates for this position which is expected to be filled in February/September 2023: 

Job Description 

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Mathematical Finance, Probability Theory, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Financial Derivatives, Risk Management in Finance, International Finance, Fixed Income Securities.

Job Requirement

Candidates should have earned PhD in financial engineering or financial mathematics from a recognized university. Candidates from mathematics, statistics, operations research, data science, computer science, or finance field are also welcome. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.（Please supplement if any requirement/preference related to Education Background, Research Interest, Industry Experiences, Language, Skills etc.）

Benefits

Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and medical insurance. 

Appointment Terms

Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
